VENUE WANTED for residential Circle Dance events,
possibly including New Year booking. Ideally Midlands/Welsh
Borders/North,
must have uncarpeted room which can take 20 (preferably more) in a circle for dancing and be
reasonably priced. Self-catering preferred.

CIRCLE DANCE HOLIDAY AT ANILIO, PILION, GREECE, FRIDAY 4 - 11 SEPTEMBER 2009. A week to both relax and dance, sharing circle dance together in a beautiful, peaceful
environment, but with plenty of time to enjoy the beach, and
mountain walks. Some dance experience needed. This event ran for the first time in Sept.
2007 at the Pilion Centre, to which we will be returning, but now under
the auspices of the Kalikalos Centre. See

SATURDAY OCTOBER 18, 2008 11.00 a.m. - 4.45 p.m. Dance old and new favourites, marking 15 years of dance
teaching (in a very informal and low-key way!). A mix of traditional and modern dances, including some Balkan, a couple of my own choreographies, and more. Some experience of Circle Dance,
World Dance or International Folk dance needed.
Cost £16 - £24, concessions £12 (self-select according to income.
Concessionary rate intended mainly for unwaged on state benefits, and
for students. If in doubt, ask me). Early booking discount of £2 if
booked by Sept. 22.
All Sheffield days are at St. Gabriel's Church Hall, Dobbin Hill,
Greystones, Sheffield S11 7JB.

Sheffield groups are run privately, so you pay per session on the night
and do not have to come every week - though if you are new and only drop
in every few weeks you will not repeat many dances often enough to
become familiar with them.

COURSE
Feel The Rhythm! -
YORK. WEA (Workers Educational Association) course.
Hand-drumming, suitable for beginners and experienced. Explore basic
rhythms, plus some Arabic and East European ones. Learn basic techniques
for hitting the drum and for not getting tired arms or aching hands! We
will mostly use mid-Eastern style "darabuka" drums. Drums
provided or bring your own.
Weds. 7 - 9 p.m., 10 weeks starting September

ROBIN HOOD'S BAY, NORTH YORKSHIRE. You can hear
mp3 samples of music from a previous event (NB live minidisc
recordings, so not studio quality).
SUNDAY OCTOBER 4, 2009, day of Circle Dance with Paul Boizot at RIXTON VILLAGE HALL,
nr. WARRINGTON - dance some of Paul's old and new favourites. Details to follow.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21, 2009, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., day of Circle Dance with Paul Boizot
in Middlesbourgh, North Yorkshire. A mixture of modern
and traditional dances including some of Paul's recent choreographies. Details to follow.
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2010 MALVERN
(Worcestershire). 1100 - 1630. A Grand day Out - day of Circle Dance with live music from Richard and
Olivia Hunt, Paul Boizot and Adrian Pointon. Teaching mainly by Sunnara
Vivian.
