Some sites do not fit neatly into one category - e.g. general folk sites with music and dance info might be under IFD or Music. Some local dance may be in the OTHER DANCE and INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE & FOLKLORE sections. Details of my own and other local Circle and International Folk Dance groups are at the EVENTS page. I may begin to list some specially good sites under more than one heading, but have not yet done so - so you may find it useful to search the links pages for particular keywords, e.g. lyrics, mp3.

VENUE WANTED for residential Circle Dance events, particularly interested in New Year booking. Ideally Midlands/North, must have uncarpeted room which can take 20 (preferably more) in a circle for dancing and be reasonably priced. Self-catering preferred.

AlbaSoul lots of Albanian music - streaming (RealPlayer). My current favourite is Ali Pashai by Grupi I Tepelenës - clarinet, bass, percussion and polyphonic singing. Folklore Songbook for Short-Sighted People by Birgit Karlson. Excellent resource, 187 pages in pdf format, mainly Balkan, Greek, Turkish. Nice big print, useful even if you have good sight! She also has quite a few music scores on the website.
